15 projects to combat discrimination in recruitment

Following the call for projects "Diversity and anti-discrimination in recruitment 2023", the Brussels government has decided to fund 15 laureates for a total amount of €750,000.
The initiative aims to give all talented Brussels residents access to the job market.
To combat discrimination in recruitment, Brussels Economy and Employment launched a call for projects in March last year. This time, priority was given to projects fighting discrimination related to disability or supporting women who were victims of violence.
A total of 25 projects were submitted, of which 15 were selected by a jury of independent experts.
One of them was "Henrijob, les jobs autrement". The project involves creating an online platform that brings together job vacancies tailored to people with disabilities.
"Refoodgees", which aims to facilitate the social and professional integration of refugees by training them or complementing their initial training in the hospitality sector.
Or "Empowering Abilities", a project aimed more at employers that will train and support 5 Brussels-based social-profit companies and 15 of their employees in developing and implementing non-discriminatory recruitment policies, with a focus on disabilities.
