Support measures and protection

Brussels Economy and Employment offers services to entrepreneurs, self-employed and enterprises : grants, financing for calls for projects, financing for certified businesses, training support (paid educational leave, training fund for service voucher companies), food analyses, etc. The administration organises Central Jury examinations regarding management knowledge and for accessing certain professions.

Businesses have to apply for certain authorisations with Brussels Economy and Employment : employment authorisations to employ a non-European national or to start a travel agency, certifications for temporary employment agencies and service voucher companies, registration of touristic accomodation, etc.

We also provide an inspection policy.

The administration consists of around 250 staff. It is made up of 3 departments: the Economy department, the Employment department and the Coordination and Finances Directorate for the cross-cutting aspects (HR, legal issues, etc.).
