Agriculture

Be it breeding or urban gardening, we support your urban agriculture projects.

Although the Brussels Region is urbanised, agriculture is in full swing. Indeed, there are many urban agricultural projects on Brussels territory: professional horticulture, local vegetable gardens, greenhouses on roofs, herb and mushroom nurseries in cellars, and even fish farming.

Support for sustainable food production in Brussels is organised as part of the Good Food strategy "Towards a sustainable food system in the Brussels-Capital Region", which was approved by the government in December 2015. Its aim is to respond to the environmental challenges posed by the food system.
