Easier access to the profession

From 15 January 2024, you no longer need to prove your basic management skills to set up your own business.
This reform of access to the profession aims to boost business start-ups, defend entrepreneurship as a vehicle for emancipation and integration, create fairer conditions for Brussels entrepreneurs and strengthen the Region's position as an entrepreneurial hub. 

Further simplifications will come into effect on 1 April. 

You must register your company with the CBE to set up a business in the Brussels Region.
