Fighting discrimination in recruitment
10 July 2023
Do you think you have been the victim of discrimination during a recruitment procedure? If so, you can now file a complaint about this to the Regional Employment Inspection using our new web form.
It is a legal obligation for employers to treat all candidates equally and non-discriminatorily during recruitment procedures.
If you believe you have been the victim of discrimination during a recruitment procedure in the Brussels-Capital Region, we advise you to lodge a complaint with our administration via the brand new form on this website.
Your complaint will be investigated by the Regional Employment Inspection. To follow up on your complaint, inspectors may organise anonymous "mystery tests" and/or carry out checks directly at employers' premises.
If discrimination is proven, the employer in question may be sanctioned.
